Pak knew about Osama’s presence on its soil: Imran Khan
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday reportedly claimed that Pakistan knew about the presence of dreaded terrorist Osama Bin-Landen on its soil.
In a recent interview during his visit to the US, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan admitted that the country knew about the presence of al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden on its soil.
“It was ISI that gave the information which led to the location of Osama bin Laden. If you ask CIA, it was ISI which gave the initial location through the phone connection,” the Pakistan PM said. Pakistan’s spy agency ISI provided information to the CIA, which helped the US track down Osama, Khan claimed.
It may be mentioned here that Pakistan had maintained that it had no knowledge about the presence of the terrorist on its soil. Osama was eliminated in Abbottabad, situated close to Islamabad, in a secret operation conducted by the US Navy SEALs way back on May 2, 2011.
